BTB Breeding Goals

We breed for economic traits that add to your bottom line.
We feed and treat our Simmentalers like commercial cattle so that what you see phenotypically is what you get genetically.

1. By type                    – medium frame productive animals, that carry more beef.

2. Calving ease          –  middle of the road birth weights within top quarter percentile direct
                                          and maternal calvings that work under commercial conditions.

3. Females                  –  good udders mothering easily with walking ability to thrive on South
                                          African grasslands.

4. Economic value     – top quarter percentile SRF Index. (Self Replacing Feedlot Index)
